Saju element

Earth, the steady ground.

Earth is the element of steadiness: holding, gathering, keeping balance.

Season: Late summer
Direction: Center
Color: Yellow

Earth sits at the center and belongs to late summer and the turning points between seasons. In saju it pictures a nature that steadies others, keeps its word and makes space for people to rest.

Yang Earth is the mountain, calm and unmoved; Yin Earth is the garden, nurturing and practical. Both share a grounded patience.
