Saju element

Wood, the growing tree.

Wood is the element of growth: reaching, branching, beginning again.

Season: Spring
Direction: East
Color: Blue-green

Wood belongs to spring, the season when everything starts to rise. In saju it pictures a nature that grows toward what it cares about, plans ahead and likes to see things take shape over time.

Yang Wood stands tall like a great tree; Yin Wood bends and finds its way like a vine. Both share a patient resolve and a wish to help things grow.
